Utrecht breakfast & brunch guide

The last few years Utrecht is getting more and more lovely places for breakfast, lunch or coffee. I will show you some of my favorite hotspots in Utrecht for breakfast and brunch.

Puschkin

Puschkin, located in a former garage, is a great laidback place for nice and decent priced breakfast, lunch or coffee.

Nice touch; on Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. onwards you can bring your own food and enjoy it with the German beers and great atmosphere of Puschkin.

Yoghurt Barn

Another great place for breakfast is the Yoghurt Barn, here you will find the most delicious yogurt bowls. You can add whatever you want, or choose one of the specials. Did you know you can also take the yogurt to the park? They will pack a basket full of delicious yogurt and a picnic blanket to sit on. So cute! The staff is very friendly and the yogurt just too delicious.

Broodnodig

If you love sourdough bread as much as I do, Broodnodig is your go-to spot! The sandwiches here are very tasty. Do try to save some space for the Swedish Smulpaj, you’ll be thankful!

Stach

Stach is taking over Utrecht, yay! The cute little store sells lovely products like juices, cookies, chocolate and even cheese platters. Take the stairs and enjoy a cup of coffee while overlooking Utrecht’s shopping crowd.

Rabarber

At Rabarber you can enjoy breakfast and lunch all day long. You can choose some sweet things like granola and pancakes or go for savory sourdough bread with mackerel. All meat is organic and they buy as much as possible from local suppliers.
